Alliance: The Liberation of Omega - Sneak Preview

Ben and Shepard follow Bray through the hallways of the ship. Ben looked around him as he saw various aliens go about their business. He knew that something was going on, but he was also wondering why Shepard had brought him along. It was also concerning that they're on a Cerberus cruiser.

"Shepard?" Ben asked. "You mind telling me what we're doing here?"

"Ever heard of Omega?" Shepard asked. "It's a space station home to many terrorists and criminals in the galaxy. It's completely lawless; anyone can do what they want." Hearing this, Ben immediately knew that it wasn't a place for him to live. He prefers the peace and safety of the Citadel.

"If it's a criminal hot spot, then why are we heading there?" Ben asks.

"The ruler of Omega," Shepard continued. "Otherwise known as Aria or the Pirate Queen, has requested my help in assisting her liberation of the station. Cerberus captured Omega a few months ago, but Aria has spent the last few months coming up with a plan."

"Why have you brought me along then?" Ben asks again. Shepard still hasn't answered that question. "And why are we helping Aria if she's this so called 'Pirate Queen'?"

"Just in case we need a little more firepower." Shepard answered. "Also, Aria is the most powerful figure in the Terminus Systems. She's got plenty of resources that's she willing to give to us if this plan is successful."

They made their way to the door leading into the bridge. Bray turns round to face Shepard and Ben.

"You two ready?" he asked.

"I guess." Ben replied.

"Yeah, we are." Shepard answered. He looked towards Ben. "Just one rule with Aria. Don't fuck with her."

"Sounds simple enough." said Ben.




The door opens to a large room. Various aliens were sitting down at the consoles around the room. However, one asari was standing up, facing the hologram of another asari.

"We're outshipped four-to-one." the asari hologram replied.  "And most of our vessels are transports with limited firepower."

"We're not here to win a space battle, Jarral." the other asari replied. "We just have to punch through their line."

"So you've commandeered a Cerberus cruiser..." Shepard said out loud. The asari looked to see the trio approaching her, while the hologram disappeared.

"The guest of honor has arrived." the asari said. "We can finally start." Her gaze was then locked on Ben.

"You've brought a Spartan?" she asked as she returns to face Shepard. "I thought it was clear that only you could come."

"We could use a little backup." Shepard answered. "He's a good soldier."

"We shall see." said the asari.

Shepard turns to face Ben. "Benjamin Walker, this is Aria T'Loak." he says. "The ruler of Omega, otherwise known as the Pirate Queen."

"It's.... nice to meet you." Ben said, introducing himself to Aria in an awkward tone.

"I just hope you're as good as the commander says you are." Aria replied. "I'm sure he has already told you about my only rule."

"Don't fuck with you?" Ben asked. "Yeah, he warned me as we made our way here.

"Good." was Aria's short response. "Now, back to the plan."

"Let me guess." Shepard said. "You're planning on infiltrating the enemy fleet." The trio looked at a map, showing Omega and the surrounding asteroids. Ben thought that the red dots showed the location of Cerberus ships. Bray made his way to sit down at one of the front terminals.

"Exactly." Aria replied. "We position ourselves to strike a crippling blow, then my forces join the fun."

"Sounds good to me." Ben responded, agreeing with Aria's plan. "The element of surprise will bring an advantage to us."

Aria looks to face Ben. "You're smart." she replies. "Think I might get to like you."
"A lot could go wrong." says Shepard. Aria turns round to face him.

"The assault's been planned for weeks, Shepard." she assures him. "For now, just.... sit back. Let me steer."

"Not the best start to our partnership, Aria." Shepard said with doubt. He wasn't sure that this plan was going to work.

"How things begin isn't nearly as important as how they end." Aria replied as she walked towards Bray.

"Bray, move through the relay." she ordered. "Signal the fleet to wait. They only follow on my command."
